Debbie Fortune Estate Agents raise £1,165.00 for CHILDREN IN NEED 2022
On Friday the 18th of November a group of intrepid walkers from Debbie Fortune estate agents braved the elements and conquered the famous local landmark of Crook Peak, the westernmost summit of the Mendip Hills to help raise money for Children In need.
The walk was just one of several local fundraising initiatives that the company is undertaking this year to raise much needed funds for the local community.
The event also gave us the opportunity to ‘walk and talk’ with our colleagues, a modern approach to helping staff open up with their thoughts and feelings, of both work and non-work-related issues, whilst enjoying the wonderful scenery of the great outdoors.
So far this year, we have helped raise over £16,000 in support of a variety local causes including: Harvey Hext Scarecrow Trail, Congresbury Bowling Club, Winston Wish, Chew valley 10K, Weston Hospicecare, Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary, Macmillan Coffee Morning, numerous local school, and on-going sponsorship of Wrington minibus, Congresbury Football Club, Cleeve Cricket Club, Congresbury Bowling Club, Portishead Town FC, along with many others.
We would like to say a big thank you to all our supporters and colleagues who have joined us in having another successful year helping in our community and allowing us to continue to support such important and worthy causes. The amazing help we have received has brought our total fundraising amount since opening in 2009, to a grand figure of over £165,000.
