Chew Valley Lakes, if you are a secret twitcher then there is no better place to visit than Chew Valley Lake! The fifth largest artificial lake in the country (yes it is actually a reservoir not lake) is home to visiting rare birds, including osprey, the scarcer grebes, and an American wader or duck appears most years. There is a visitors centre to enjoy, and future plans to connect the nature trail to one day be able to circumnavigate to whole lake.
